STAN ATKINSON Fans say goodbye to Stan

"I will really miss him coming into my living room twice each evening. He has such an honest, sincere way of bringing the news to us each evening. He reports the news like a concerned citizen, he doesn't sensationalize the stories he reports the facts. I realize he has other outside interests and desires to pursue his well earned retirement. But I'm selfish and will miss him and his commentary each evening. Good Luck and Golden Retirement to you , you have earned it and deserve it."
Annonymous / CA

"Mr Atkinson, First I would like to say, I admire you and have for along time. I hate to see you leave Channel 13 News. It will never be the same without you. You and Jennifer make a terrific pair and do a superb job, while also being very personal and down to earth. What class you have! I hope that somehow we will be able to keep some tabs on you? I would not like it if you faded into the wood work as so many other T V personalities do. I wanted to ask you a question? I will say so long for now and will keep you in my thoughts and Prayers as you take another journey in this life. Have a wonderful time! in all you do and thank you for touching my life."
Sandy Norwood / CA

"Such a neat man. I got to meet him in person when he came to the Woodland Opera House and he was just as charming in person as on TV. Every night I have to watch to see what he is wearing. Great dresser. I think he should have a line of clothes. Sure will miss Stan. Happy retirement!"
Evelyn / CA

"Dear Mr. Atkinson, I'm not the type of person to write fan mail, but I just wanted to take a few moments out of my day to let you know how much I have appreciated your work. As a 22 year-old college student, I am fascinated by the stories you have witnessed and covered. Through your firsthand experience of events that I've only been able to read about, you have let me know what it was like to actually be there. You have been a pleasure to let into my home every weekday evening at 10 P.M. to deliver the evening news. You present it in professional manner but somehow your own personality always seems to shine through. You will definitely be missed! Congratulations on a well deserved retirement!"
